At one point in my life I was told that aiming for college was not an option.With a straight expressionless face my college adviser told me"I dont think you should go to college?" I looked @ her in dismay, I was better informed than this uneducated womyn who didnt kno the college process for a Dream student. With authority, with her lack of knowledge she attempted to stop me from going 2 college and attempted to make my dreams an impossibility.Back then I held a grudge against her...overtime I came to understand that it was her lack of understanding regarding the college process for Dream students that made her say all those unreasonable comments. Yet, she is the college adviser, and I was a student in that school like everyone else, wasnt it her job to be knowledgeable regarding this topic, or was it simple and clear that "not everyone can dream?"....just a thought

I am so loving this post. And it's so funny that I know which college adviser you are talking about; she did the same to me by tellin me I wouldn't get into Binghamton (but yet I am here). Don't let anyone tell you that your dreams are not able to become reality!!! :)
